Know exactly where your player stands — and what to work on next. The Player Evaluation is a one-on-one, on-field session with an MSA coach. Your player runs through a structured set of technical and game-situation work, and you leave with a written assessment and a concrete development plan. No membership required, no sales pitch — it is also the best first step if you are considering the Academy or recruiting membership.
What the evaluation covers
- Technical baseline. First touch, ball striking, dribbling under pressure, and both-foot competence — measured, not eyeballed.
- Game intelligence. Decision speed, positioning, and off-ball movement in small-sided situations.
- Athletic profile. Speed, agility, and work rate relative to age group and position.
- Written assessment. You get the findings in writing — strengths, gaps, and the three things to train first.
- A real conversation. The coach walks you and your player through the results and answers your questions, including honest ones about college potential.
Who it’s for
Players roughly age 8 through high school. The session is in person and currently runs on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, so it suits families on the mid-shore and those elsewhere in the Mid-Atlantic who are willing to make the drive for a straight answer. It fits three situations: a player who wants to make a better team next tryout season, a family starting to think about college soccer and wanting an honest read before spending on showcases, and a player who has plateaued and needs a plan rather than more of the same.

- Results in writing. Assessment and development plan delivered after the session, with a follow-up conversation included.
Why parents book it
Club feedback is often vague, and tryouts tell you a yes or a no without telling you why. An independent evaluation gives you a second opinion from a coach with nothing to gain from flattery. If 1:1 coaching or the recruiting pathway makes sense afterward, we will say so — and if it doesn’t yet, we will say that too.
